چکیده

Abstract Adaptation of plant and human pathogenic bacteria to niches existence differing from their original ones is a sophisticated mechanism for survival. Research indicates that certain bacterial pathogens are capable causing disease in humans, some can inhabit the environment cause plants. The infection humans by may occur at direct physical contact with diseased plants and/or via respiratory tract mainly immunocompromised or otherwise stressed individuals. Indirect transmitters microbes be wind, rain, dust, insects, animals. Human contaminate soil irrigation water, colonize rhizosphere, more rarely also phyllosphere, survive as epiphytes. Thus, become reservoir pathogens. A source foodborne unprocessed unwashed fruits vegetables. Especially during last decade, processes underlying cross-kingdom performance intensively researched. However, reality, risk health infections surviving still underestimated. goal current review increase interest these issues agricultural general environments. Some basic strategies symptoms diseases caused microorganisms under consideration described. potency surpass barriers towards interaction addressed existing information critically discussed.

Phloem-and xylem-restricted plant pathogenic bacteria

This review concerns plant pathogenic bacteria, which are strictly restricted either to the sieve tubes in the phloem or to the vessels in the xylem. These bacteria are endogenous as opposed to exogenous bacteria such as species of Erwinia , Pseudomonas , Ralstonia or Xanthomonas , which colonize the apoplast (intercellular spaces) of plant tissues, even though some of the exogenous bacteria, s...

Insights into Cross-Kingdom Plant Pathogenic Bacteria

Plant and human pathogens have evolved disease factors to successfully exploit their respective hosts. Phytopathogens utilize specific determinants that help to breach reinforced cell walls and manipulate plant physiology to facilitate the disease process, while human pathogens use determinants for exploiting mammalian physiology and overcoming highly developed adaptive immune responses. Emergi...

Quorum sensing in plant-pathogenic bacteria.

Quorum sensing (QS) allows bacteria to assess their local population density and/or physical confinement via the secretion and detection of small, diffusible signal molecules. This review describes how phytopathogenic bacteria have incorporated QS mechanisms into complex regulatory cascades that control genes for pathogenicity and colonization of host surfaces. Traits regulated by QS include th...

RNA-Seq for Plant Pathogenic Bacteria

The throughput and single-base resolution of RNA-Sequencing (RNA-Seq) have contributed to a dramatic change in transcriptomic-based inquiries and resulted in many new insights into the complexities of bacterial transcriptomes. RNA-Seq could contribute to similar advances in our understanding of plant pathogenic bacteria but it is still a technology under development with limitations and unknown...
